This dilapidated yet for sale building is along commerce street, in the central business district, of Downtown Lynchburg, Virginia.
The gentrification of the entire downtown Lynchburg area is not fully complete. A few buildings from the formerly very abandoned and rundown district remain. The nearby James River and trails offer a lot of interest to investors who have made quiet the profit from the small college town that has grown substantially due to Liberty University and a few prime businesses.
The sign displaying it is for sale has images of more apartments, maybe a restaurant or another store / boutique.
This is one of those still standing yet unwanted structures. Nearby has a sweets shop, parking garage and apartment lofts but this still goes unnoticed. Certainly not for too long. A mostly gutted interior leaves a lot for the imagination. The outside area is filled with dog droppings so it seems most of the nearby residence probably use the lot to take their pets.
