The former Motorcycle Graveyard of Kohls Cycle Sales was located on 71 Gooding Street, the city of Lockport, Niagara County, New York.
Known as the Motorcycle Graveyard of Lockport this company was established by Kohls Cycle Sales after collecting over 50 years worth of motorcycles and related parts. From the early 1970’s the building on Gooding Street became the headquarters for this growing business. In 1997 the building with all the motorcycles was sold to a man named Frank who continued the operation as Kohls Cycle Salvage. It is said to have closed sometime around 2007 when the last few reports of people purchasing parts they need have come through.
The building was eventually condemned by the city of Lockport in 2009 and became a place for vandals and thieves. By 2010, the City of Lockport told the former owner to remove all that he wanted from the building by November and so he did. It was reported in 2011 that a planned demolition for $200,000 was set to occur but never did. As time rolled on the former Motorcycle Graveyard was now just an empty building until July of 2013, when a kid set fire to the whole building and it was destroyed. You can view the video of the buildings burn and demise HERE.
