The old Taiwan Railway housing and shops are already being demolished for the new High Speed Railway and new bridges that will be put in around and at the surrounding area of 401 East Xinmin Street and formerly on Fuxing Road as well, in the city of Taichung, Taiwan.
The Taiwan Railway is updating the stations and tracks to become high speed railways in more than a few locations. Some are already in place and have been for several years while others are having areas deconstructed and constructed now. The Taiwan High Speed Rail is becoming one of the fastest and easiest methods of travel in Taiwan. The railway system is based largely on the Shinkansen grid of high speed rail lines in Japan.
These housing and other buildings were in the way of the development of the tracks and have since been moved out with demolition having already begun as of August 22, 2014.
