The Laem Thian Resort is at the Laem Thian Bay on the island of Ko Tao (Koh Tao) of the Chumphon Archipelago, the province of Surat Thani, Thailand.
There were 10 bungalows at the small and simple Laem Thian Resort with some of the bungalows having names such as : Dream, Paradise, Seaview and Seaside. The resort was opened in 1995 but received mixed reviews of either very fantastic or very awful according to Trip Advisor. After bad storms caused road travel to slow to the resort, the owner ‘Ping Pong’ became unable to afford the maintaining costs and Laem Thian was closed in 2010. The future shows possible re use as this private cape with its own bay would make a fantasy get away for anyone.
Thanks to the friendly vegan travelers, Cody and Giselle, of www.mindfulwanderlust.com for the use of their photos and the tip on the place.
Where is the abandoned resort of Laem Thian located? G Maps could not provide a close up so the exact spot is not pinpointed but you can find it around these coordinates. 10.089977,99.854016
