An abandoned fire station in the Kakheti region of Georgia / Sakartvelo.
This fire station seems to have been in practice during at least 1980’s as the gas masks shown are from that era. It may have been closed sometime after Georgia removed its self from the Soviet Union in 1991. Though the Five Cross Flag of Georgia was not seen until late 1990, so this establishment must have been in practice for a period afterwards. Forgotten inside this place are old gas masks, small beds, hatchets, some flame retardant coats and even an old truck. The truck seems to be in fairly great condition, with tires full of air, who knows what made this place close.
The area around Sighnaghi in Tsnori, Sakobo, Mashnaari and Jugaani settlements are ripe with abandoned places. Nearby is the abandoned school of Sighnaghi.
