This mill (also known as Molí de la Font Gran, Molí de les truites or Molí d’en Miquel) is right off the road TV – 7044 in municipality of La Riba, the province of Tarrangona, the community of Catalonia, Spain.
Nestled below the high perch of the Penya Roja right along the river Francoli lies one of the many large mill ruins from the pre 18th century and before. Many mills lie along the river Francoli and provided multiple things such as flour, paper and oil. It is believed that this particular mill was possibly a paper mill because many of the mills in La Riba produce paper. It is known that this mill has been around since 1775 due to a census of the area that notes the mill.
In 1994, the river flooded due to a massive storm, destroying many of the mills. It lies in ruins to this day.
