This former home is located at 15982 on route 221 in the town of Forest, County of Bedford, Virginia.
Not much history is known of this ramshackle house. The exterior is of wood with an overlay of fake brick paneling. The foundation stands on concrete pillars and remnants of crumbling river rock. The home is full of deteriorating mattresses, leftover purses, shirts and other home bits strewn through out the 2 story run-down building. The front porch of the uninhabited home collapsed and is decaying along with the rest of the house. It is believed that a house fire in the upstairs bedroom is what caused the initial demise of the home.
The future of this leftover house is uncertain and is barely noticed to passersby.
