Château Rouge (also known as Hotel Torrance, Chateau Titantia, Château Bambi, Red Castle, Hotel Rogue, and Castle Bambi) is on Chemin de Saint-Loup 1, in the municipality of Huy, Walloon Region, Province of Liege, Belgium. 4500.
The abandoned Château Rouge (Red Castle) was built in 1889. Some believe it was at one time a retirement home for the elderly. It was converted into a luxury hotel after World War II. It was closed in 2009 for financial reasons and has been forgotten ever since.
The information on this very interesting place is scarce though many things were just left behind. Maybe there will be hope of a renovation and re opening one day as it seems this place still has a chance of being restored since it was so recently abandoned. The exterior is awesome and derives its nickname from the red painted brick. Some pictures show what look like tapestries on the stairwell walls. Beds, sofas, chairs and more remain but the deterioration can be seen by the peeling wall paper and ceilings tiles that are falling in at spots. The light fixtures and chandeliers are coated in cobwebs and dust and still look nice. This is a very unique place. It is below the Centrale Nucléaire de Tihange (Tihange Nuclear Power Station) and is just on the out skirts of the Bois de Tihange (Tihange Forest).
