Klein Curaçao Abandoned Lighthouse in the Caribbean

The uninhabited island of Klein Curaçao (Little Curaçao) is located south east of the island Country of Curaçao, with the lighthouse residing in the midst of the tiny island.

The Little Curaçao lighthouse was built in 1850, and rebuilt in 1879 and 1913. The buildings located directly around the lighthouse are 2 keepers houses, both 2 stories in height. They have begun to seriously deteriorate, possibly beyond repair if it continues. The keepers house and the lantern were both red, though the keepers houses are coloured a sullen pink now. The lighthouse tower itself is white. The lighthouse light is still active, using LED lights and reaching 82 feet it flashes twice every 15 seconds.
