Stokes Cabana is an ocean front property at Yamacraw Beach on Yamacraw Hill Road, the city of Nassau, the island of New Providence, Bahamas.
Stokes Cabana history seems lost to the internet, with only its most recent past as fodder. The mansion is grand and has been abandoned for over 20 years. It was built sometime in the 1980’s and has a floor plan involving over 20,000 square feet of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, sprawling living areas and wrap around porches. Everything about the interior was designed for a spacious lifestyle with the home even having its own private beach access. There is even a rusted boat left on the sand at the back of the home. On the side of the home there is a pool and hot tub. The home was allegedly owned by a man who was into illegal activities and he died before the house was completed and it was never lived in.
In January of 2013, Leon Martin, committed suicide by hanging in the Stokes Cabana.
